i work at Whole Foods bagging groceries for Amazon Prime. EZ job, you pick your own hours and I'm making that fresh $15/hr. Pretty happy with it, yall should hop on this train for some side cash. This obviously isn't a career tho lol.

I don't drink there but come into work hungover a lot of the time. I had a fucking brutal lifestyle at my last job working kitchen in a seafood place. Was working 10-12 hour shifts 5 times a week, came home to drink until passing out, waking up after 4 hours still drunk cus i had to get to work, taking vyvanse and drinking to get thru the day. honestly the worst days of my life. dont do that

Machining... technically. For some reason they put me in charge of a CNC machine for 8 hours a day with only 2 weeks training. I feel like I'm reverse engineering what I should've learned in some class most of the time.

Actually helped with my drinking. Once I realized I could hardly keep up hungover I left drinking for the weekends.

the pinch is: I'm at my friends place for his birthday, but he hood and all we have is spritz-up and KFC.

I drank water but it just made me cold and shakey.

I work at 3pm, I feel "eh" it was just vodka but man

Your best bet is snake juice.
With 1L water: 1/2tsp Sodium Chloride, 1/2tsp Potassium Chloride
For better taste(1L water): 1/4tsp Sodium Chloride, 1/2tsp Potassium Chloride, 1/4tsp Baking Soda

It's essentially IV fluid. Chug that shit.

props to you
I kinda added some coke. Now rollin on a proper speedball. Or whatever this is with marroc hash, afghan H and south american coke, globalization provides a hell of any. many. any. of my favorite drugs.
The weed and hash quality and quantity is surprisingly good when bought at the local train station, probably because of the low distance to the Netherlands and the left-liberal-not-so-very-authoritarian-authorities that rule here. Bless them.
Just last week I've read a newspaper article that said: "The meeting point of the local drug scene gets a new look" like it was a normal and good thing which it may be.
However, drug trade is the norm there and it's done quite unconcealed. "You got some Methadicct?" (Methadon) a guy shouts for everyone to hear. And so on. All day.
The police does nothing as long as everything stays peaceful. They are never more than a hundred meters away though yet they let it all happen. My guess is that they have given up upon the unrealistic expectations of the drug prohibition.
What should they do? Arresting everyone that sells there would cause a collapse of the already overburdened courts. (Yes it's that bad. There is money to be made.)
Different people like different drugs.
Some can't handle cannabis while some can't handle alcohol but therefore shrooms and so on. It is a horrible, horrible injustice that the only effective/numbing drugs that are legal to buy are also cancerous. Absolutely despicable!
There should be some kind of request form where you say why and which drug you want a drug-license for.
E.g.: "My wife slept with someone else every day during the past 4 years and now I want to do a lot of heroin, since drinking all that pain away would probably give me colon cancer." or something like that. That would be socially acceptable, wouldn't it?
Or: "My dad abused me up when I was a child and now I kinda need a small bump of cocaine every morning in order to feel reassured enough to go to the construction site and do eight hours worth of work."
Yeah! That absolutely needed to be said.
Bumping kinda the wrong thread because i'm more high than drunk but saying I'm not drunk would be a lie as well.
Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.

Do you guys experience this hell? Basically from when I wake up until about 16 hours later I am an absolute anxious wreck. There's no way I can leave the house, my speech stutters, my entire body is super tense from the anxiety.

It's definitely not withdrawal, it just feels like my brain is in overdrive the entire next day.

you should really reduce your drinking. if you don't, this experience will probably turn into panic attacks, and after the first few, you will experience this even if you don't drink. i have gone through the same shit. first there was just anxiety the next day, then severe anxiety like you describe, then the first panic attack happened and from then i lived with panic disorder. it's a shitty thing, i have to live between serious rules. If i eat too much, i panic, if i eat too little, i panic, if i sleep too much, i panic, if i sleep too little, i panic, when i see a police officer, i panic, even if i didn't do anything against the law. i am unable to smoke weed anymore because the panic, and it's a very bad thing because it helped very much with my instable mood and motivation problems. And all this is caused by my irresponsible drinking habit

it IS normal if you drink a shitload and especially if you have been drinking for a longer time. With time hangovers start becoming more like mini-withdrawals

It's withdrawal dumbass. After the hangover (when your liver processes all the Acetaldehyde that makes you want to puke) you still have GABAa withdrawal to deal with. GABAa suppresses your brain function, which is why we drink, but afterwards in response your brain releases less of it, causing all sorts of things like stimulation up to anxiety up to DTs.

Just don't drink for awhile. A week gets me to normal. How's your sleep?

I don't know what changed but it seems like my hangovers are getting less intense even though I'm drinking the same amount (pint of vodka a night)

I'm 27 years old and honestly feel like the headaches, stomach aches, and anxiety has gone down considerably than I did a year ago

Has anyone else experienced this awesome phenomenon?

This sounds about right. Your hangovers are getting more manageable because you hair of the dog every day. I don't feel very well most mornings but a few drinks usually clear that right up. Healthy? No. Effective? For the most part.

I was like that once. Learnt what my perfect 'buzz' dosage was (21 standard drinks a night) and drank no more, and no less, for years. Got into a routine of hurriedly preparing myself before bed such as drinking liters of water and shoving as much fiber and vitamins inside of me as possible before passing out. mitebcool to start out with but it drags you down eventually when the fun wears off.

Alright I've been reflecting on the toxicity of my alcohol consumption habits and was wondering if anyone can top my wretchedness and in the process, perhaps alleviate a bit of my shame.

Personally, I have drank a minimum of 10 standard drinks almost every single night for the past six years. Only on very rare occasions have I missed a night, and I would estimate 2-3 nights of the week it's more in the 15-20 range. My shits are never very good, I'm always on the verge of mild hemorrhoids, I got shakes most of the time, the skin on my hands and feet is all blotchy and takes a while for capillaries to refill when pressed. The upper right quadrant of my abdomen (liver) is tender and firm to the touch most of the time.

Before my six years of daily drinking I would estimate I drank 2-3 nights of the week for about 4 years before that. For a couple of years I was drinking two 40's every night, which had the added toxic poison of high fructose corn syrup. I have managed to move up from the malt liquor to tequila and half-decent beer, but nevertheless I am slowly killing myself.

Anyone worse off than me?

Can't really see what the fuss is about - I've been drinking daily for 6-7 years now, maybe more. Got drunk first in the 7th grade, and genuinely enjoyed it. I'm 26 now, and drink 3-4 bottles of wine daily (after work, a sweet desk job, but I'm having that sweet nectar even as we speak, even though I'm going on shift in a while.)

My health is indeed deteriorating, but that happens regardless, so who cares - coming from a family of alcoholics, I'm probably born fucked in that aspect. The morning shame is a usual, but with enough precautions, nobody knows what's my actual intake. Yes, I'm declining social gatherings, yes - I've alienated most of my friends, for one or other reason.

>>280575 Is more than relateable, made me chuckle.

As always, OP is a faggot. Lower the hard booze intake, and enjoy a nice glass of Sauvignon, or Muscat - then again, I'm drinking wine from a mug, so that's a red flag.

What'syour most hated beverage or liquor? We all have at least one that just makes us retch whenever we smell it. For me its Chinese baijiu or rice spirits. I've been treated to some of the supposedly finest quality maotais and its all the same sickly sweet smelling gasoline that makes me feel like I just lost a year off my life the next day. I love some of the weaker undistilled rice wines however. A close second would be drinking straight gin. Gag.

Your best bet would be to stop drinking fermented milk.

sodium bicarbonate only neutralizes the acid, but 1: your stomach will continue to produce more acid 2: the digesting enzimes will be still there 3: the alcohol will dissolve the protecting lipid layer on the inside of your stomach and the enzimes will eat the wall and you will get Peptic ulcer disease.

The enzimes are produced in proportion to the acid, and the acid continues to be secreted after neutralization, so you must prevent the acid secretion. This can be done by histamine 2 receptor antagonists. cimetidine, famotidine, etc.

This will work for some time, then you develop tolerance to it and it's efficiency will drop. Of course the real solution would be: stop drinking. eat foods that are healthy and optimized to your body. But i doubt you will do that, so just take some anti-acid medications.

Pepcid complete helps me a lot. I wake up with bad heartburn most mornings after drinking and the difference is significant after eating a pepcid. You're not supposed to exceed two tablets in a 24 hour period though so if you eat one or two and they don't help you're kinda fucked until the next day.

I drink rum almost exclusively. I always have. I mean, I can drink other stuff, but I much prefer to drink Captain.

In most recent drinks I've found myself getting really angry when I drink rum. I don't know why this is. Every time I have 4 shots or so I just get really aggravated by everything.

I tested it out and drank some Miller and it didn't have the same effect. I was actually really happy with beer. What could be causing this? Am I just going to have to swap over to another drink?

i heard that spirits have less sugar in than other drinks so you get drunk and blood sugar level drops instead of getting a sugar high, so you get irritable
